Call For Abstracts for the 3rd Annual Conference of the Australian ADHD Professionals Association have closed.
The 3rd Annual Conference of the Australian ADHD Professionals Association with the theme of “ADHD Across the Lifespan” will be held at the Royal on the Park, Brisbane on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of July 2019.
This is a multidisciplinary conference incorporating all disciplines involved in assessment, treatment and research on ADHD. Submissions in a wide range of topics are sought, including:
- Empirical studies evaluating treatment programs (group studies, single-subject designs/case descriptions)
- Development of assessment instruments
- Technological applications and advances
- Family and carer issues
- Theoretical models
- Service development and clinical initiatives
- Interdisciplinary approaches
- Social policy
- Pharmacological interventions
- Topic reviews
Abstracts must be in English, limited to a maximum of 250 words, for research studies use the following headings in sentence case and bold: Background and aims, Method, Results, and Conclusions. Note that there will be three presentation formats at the conference (i) symposia (90 minutes, minimum 4 and maximum 6 speakers), (ii) oral presentations and, (iii) posters.
Keynote Speakers
Dr Jeffrey Newcorn
Professor of Psychiatry and PediatricsDr Jeffrey Newcorn who is currently Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics, and Director, Division of ADHD and Learning Disorders at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr Newcorn is also the director of Pediatric Psychopharmacology for the Mount Sinai Health System. His research examines the clinical presentation and neurobiological basis of ADHD and its treatment.
Dr Rick Jarman
Behavioural Paediatrics SpecialistDr Rick Jarman is one of Australia’s leading experts in child development and behavour. He is currently a senior specialist at the Royal Children’s Hospital in the Child Behaviour Clinic and Early Emergency Follow up Clinic. Rick also works in private practice. He is the founding director of Melbourne Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics in Donvale and partner in Melbourne Paediatric Specialists @ the Children’s in Parkville.
