Pregnancy and the postpartum period bring significant physical, emotional and practical change. For people with ADHD, navigating this transition can present additional challenges that may not always be recognised or adequately supported in maternity care.
In this live webinar, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr Ed Hyde explores the intersection of ADHD, pregnancy and postpartum care, considering how the demands and transitions of the perinatal period may affect people with ADHD and what clinicians can do to better support them.
Drawing on his experience across complex obstetrics, perinatal mental health and neurodiversity, Dr Hyde will examine pregnancy and postpartum care through a neuro-inclusive and trauma-informed lens, with a focus on making this enormous life transition safer, more supportive and responsive to individual needs.
Whether you work in obstetrics, general practice, psychiatry, psychology, paediatrics, allied health or perinatal care, this webinar offers an important perspective on supporting people with ADHD through pregnancy and the transition to parenthood.
