About Prof David Coghill

Prof Dave Coghill is the Financial Markets Foundation Chair of Developmental Mental Health and Deputy Head of the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne. Previously he was Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Dundee.

His research focuses on increasing understanding of child and adolescent mental health using a range of approaches including longitudinal observational studies and big data approaches, neuropsychopharmacology, clinical trials, pharmacoepidemiology and patient-reported outcomes.

He has maintained a strong clinical presence developing clinical pathways that facilitate the rapid transfer of research evidence into routine clinical practice. His clinical work is split between the Royal Children’s Hospital and Orygen Youth Health.

About Dr Hugh Morgan, MBBS, FRANZCP

Dr Hugh Morgan is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of Sydney and a committee member of the RANZCP section of Youth Mental Health. He is a co-director with his wife Heidi Sumich (Clinical Psychologist) of Mindcare Centre, a private mental health practice that started in Broadway 2004 and relocated in Feb 2021 within the Mullumbimby Comprehensive Health Centre. He is also consulting at Rekindling the Spirit in Lismore, an Aboriginal Medical Service, on a 2/52 basis.

Dr Morgan was a co-founding director of Mindcare Centre and has strived to maintain a high standard, innovative, evidence-based mental healthcare practice working as a general adult and youth psychiatrist. He has a longstanding special interest in the assessment and treatment of ADHD, as well as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders.
