About
Dr Allen Macbell is an experienced General Practitioner with a special interest in ADHD assessment and management. He works with children aged 10 years and over, adolescents and adults, supporting patients through assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care.
Allen has more than 15 years of experience in ADHD care and takes a practical, individualised approach, considering how ADHD affects study, work, relationships and everyday life. He works closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, schools and allied health professionals when needed.
Dr Macbell was selected to participate in the RACGP Victorian GP ADHD Training and Support Program and is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and graduates.

Evidence-based, individualised ADHD care including psychoeducation, medication initiation and optimisation where appropriate, regular monitoring of treatment response and side effects, and management of co-occurring mental health and medical conditions. I use a collaborative, person-centred approach and work with psychologists, psychiatrists, schools and allied health professionals where appropriate.
