Dr Brendan Daugherty

About

Dr Brendan Daugherty is a consultant psychiatrist (FRANZCP) and co-founder of Pandion Health, a national telehealth service specialising in comprehensive ADHD assessment, diagnosis and ongoing care across the lifespan.

He holds advanced training certificates from the RANZCP in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry, and is an Accredited Member of the Faculty of Adult Psychiatry. He completed a Master of Psychiatric Medicine through HETI and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Mental Health at UNSW. In 2019 he was a Visiting Forensic Psychiatry Fellow at the Department of State Hospitals in Sacramento, California, attending the academic forensic program at UC Davis. He served as Conjoint Associate Lecturer at UNSW from 2017 to 2022 and previously held positions with Justice Health NSW, Top End Mental Health, and headspace Youth Early Psychosis.

His clinical interests cover ADHD and related neurodevelopmental conditions from childhood through adulthood, with particular attention to the cognitive, emotional and functional patterns that commonly present alongside diagnosis: anxiety, burnout, sleep dysregulation and self-concept. He works within an evidence-aligned, neuro-affirming model that emphasises diagnostic clarity, individualised treatment, and structured support beyond the initial assessment.

He has published in Australasian Psychiatry and CNS Spectrums, including recent work on eudaimonic approaches in contemporary psychiatry, and serves on the RANZCP Section of Child, Adolescent and Forensic Psychiatry committee. He prioritises ongoing contribution to the neurodevelopmental space through his private practice and service leadership.
