About

Eleanor Beilby is a learning designer and technologist with a background in digital design and accessibility. She is the founder of MuddleMend, an educational platform focused on cognitive accessibility and using everyday technology as practical support for ADHD.

Her work treats everyday consumer technology as assistive technology for cognitive accessibility. Phone reminders, shortcuts, automations, NFC tags, Focus Modes, calendars and notes apps, alongside smart-home cues, prompts and routines, are configured around specific difficulties and designed so people can understand and adapt their supports themselves. These systems can support working memory, task initiation, routines, transitions, time awareness, decision load and follow-through.

Eleanor is the Learning Technology Coordinator at Curtin University, where she designs accessible learning experiences. She was the recipient of the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 2026 AADPA Annual Conference for her presentation, Designing Cognitive Accessibility Systems: Using Everyday Technology to Support ADHD. She has also presented on cognitive accessibility and neurodivergent inclusion at the Accessibility Club Summit in Germany, the Perth Digital Accessibility Conference, A11yTalks and the Neurodivergence Wellbeing Conference, and brings lived experience of ADHD to her work.

Through MuddleMend, Eleanor offers practical articles, guides and workshops. Her work is educational and accommodation-focused. It does not involve diagnosis, therapy or clinical treatment, and is intended to complement clinical care and allied health support rather than replace it.
