Register now for this upcoming AADPA member webinar as Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Bianca Parsons, delves into Interoception, our internal sensory system crucial for recognising and interpreting bodily signals and emotions.

Have you ever been so engrossed in an activity that you didn’t notice you were thirsty until you were extremely parched or so focused on a task that you didn’t realise you were hungry until you felt faint? This is an example of poor interoceptive awareness, where the internal signals for thirst or hunger are not recognised until they become severe.

During this presentation, Bianca will highlight how individuals, especially those with ADHD, often struggle with interoceptive awareness, impacting self-regulation, emotional understanding, and decision-making. You’ll learn strategies to enhance this awareness, including mindfulness practices, and emphasise the benefits of improved interoception for better-managing emotions and behaviours, ultimately supporting individuals with ADHD in navigating these challenges more effectively.

All questions are welcome to make this webinar as interactive and valuable as possible. Please note that live webinar attendance and Q&A participation is for AADPA members only. Click here for more information about AADPA membership.
