About
Kirby Michaelides is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, ADHD Specialist Clinician and ADHD Clinical Services Provider with more than 15 years of experience in mental health and wellbeing, including the past nine years working specifically in the field of ADHD.
She supports adolescents and adults with ADHD, as well as the broader relational and environmental systems that influence outcomes, including couples, parents, families, schools and workplaces. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, neurodiversity-affirming care and practical strategies that help people translate insight into meaningful functional change.
Kirby is also an experienced educator in ADHD and neurodiversity-informed practice, having trained more than 400 clinicians, including psychologists, clinical psychologists and Accredited Mental Health Social Workers, in practical approaches to assessment, formulation and intervention.
In addition to clinical practice, she provides ADHD, neurodiversity and workplace wellbeing education to organisations, schools and parent communities, and delivers therapeutic intervention through Employee Assistance Programs in her areas of expertise.
Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience of ADHD, Kirby is committed to translating research and clinical guidance into practical, accessible tools for clinicians, families and systems. She is the developer of the CALM–ADHD Model, designed to support diagnosing GPs and patients in assessing the functional impact of stimulant medication and strengthening the link between diagnosis, treatment and real-world outcomes.
